....Continued....

Onto Thursday: guess what? Nothing!!! I actually stayed too long at the ball Wednesday Night, and Thursday did not go so well, so I did the beach, and came home and the weekend guests began arriving, with fantastic host presents, which then led to great wine and knosh on the verandah of my house by the pool, with my housemates and weekend guests. In attendance were a VP from Smith Barney, a lovely couple from LA, and a Ford Model who would be one of my house mates’ date for the weekend. Got to bed somewhat early and was ready for Friday, thank God.

Friday a.m., it really gets cooking Up early and into the pool, then off to the Hampton Maid for the best breakfast in the Hamptons. Then God help me, off to Riverhead for last minute House needs, what a mistake that was…5 hours later, back to the house, and into the shower for Happy Hour at Dockers. We ended up having dinner there with the owner Larry Hoffman, Nicole La Montagne, the VP staying at the house, and some others. Chris Keigel-Wolffer Vineyards was dining at the next table, It was a nice time. Larry left early but sent a closing round of drinks over to help us get the night started! Our server James took great care of us and it was back to the house to change again and to head out for the big show.

Okay so now we are in Southampton at the sneak peek of the new nightclub DUNE on North Sea Road. This was a cause of great anxiety for me as this is one of my favorite locations to party and being so devoted to CAIN from last season, what would I find when I got there? This was a make or break moment. Well it was everything I had hoped for and more, only the best of the best of the staff were still there, Rich Thomas was back at the door after a hiatus of a few years. The crowd was dressed and ready to Parte`. The Décor was very old Hamptons of 1998-1999, Black & White photos on the walls, sexy lighting, pin spots lighting up various art and what not. The old VIP room (which had gone wasted for a long time was now integrated into the club and was a whole new space to party in.) Brendan was still at the bar keeping the crowd fueled, and everything was a very HOT combination of Conscience Point & Jet East. It was such a night out, to be back at my favorite spot, with great music, drinks, and dancing, a precedent for Summer had again been established. Out that night were, Nicholas Landry, Nicole La Montagne, Jesse Giordano & Model Ryan White. What a night!!!

Saturday was the pool area at my house during the daytime until 4pm, when it was off to the Hamptons Magazine Cover Party Barbecue for Christie Brinkley’s Memorial Day Cover at Jason Binn’s house in Southampton. The  party was sensational, with Debra Halpert & Cindi Cook-Hamptons Magazine, Doreen Atkins, Cathy Dransfield, Jesse Giordano, Beth Ostrosky, Kyle MacLachlan, Denise Bornshein, Brianna Birtles, and Christie Brinkley. The Party was a very enjoyable afternoon and a full on production with excellent Cocktails & Hors Oeuvres, by Elegant Affair. I had to cut it short as I had a special friends event to attend in  Sag Harbor, then it was home and down to Dockers for Dinner and Drinks under the Moon, and then it was an impasse, Saturday Night Memorial Day Weekend, no set plans? Well we went home got decked out, and it was off to Nello Summertime’s in Southampton, for their Lounge Scene, we arrived at about 11:15 to a decadent scene, 6 foot by 3 foot 32 wick candles stood all over the patios. And as people sat at tables with bottles of champagne, the Garden was packed, and the Main Dining Room was stunning. There was a 9 X 9 Mosaic Portrait of Kate Moss perched on the Main Wall. I mean come on! What more do you want, candles flickered everywhere and staff raced everywhere in Dolce & Gabbana Dresses. The Music was pure St Tropez, and the women were stunning. Drinks were about a billion dollars, and the whole thing screamed “this is the Hamptons!!!” We had a absolute blast, it was one of the best nights out I can remember. Seen: Justin W of Bridgehampton (Always a Blast), Denise Bornshein of Hamptons Magazine, Nicholas Landry, Ryan White, Jesse Giordano, Darren Gagnon, and Eric Bolyard. I recommend Nello’s for dancing and a special night out, and a must for any out of town guests you want to impress!

Here we are at Sunday, Day 5 of the Memorial Day Weekend, Sweet Lord give me strength! Okay: Daytime it was Tiderunners-Hampton Bays, for lunch on the canal, service was fantastic, lunch was tasty it was 15 of us for lunch and the bill got out of hand. Isn’t that strangs?New house guests arrived, Erin Brooks & Patrick Sheilds, and a mass of others, also at lunch was Sean Q of Q Restaurant-Quogue, Nicole La Montagne, Eric Bolyard, Model Ryan White, and who knows who the rest were? Anyway that was fun and great sun, and then it was home to rest and then time to go out. I was double booked and scheduled for the Huge Party at Flirt in East Hampton at the old Resort Nightclub. But it was just to much going from the Shinnecock Hills to East Hampton and then back to DUNE-Southampton early enough so that the doorman did not shoot me! Well I decided to screw going to East Hampton, and this caused a fight with Linda Palermo who said she was not missing it, so we lost Linda and headed to the House to gather, call cabs and head out. Some last minute guests from South Beach were also due to meet us there. We gathered there for cocktails and then boarded cabs to return to DUNE for the Weekend Finale, So… after some minor complications, we were on our way back to DUNE for their final party that weekend. The Ropes were twice as insane as Friday night, but in we went, off to the bar. I barely braved the dance floor as it was just as nice at the far bar to stand and have drinks and some laughs. It was just a sensational evening. Out that evening was Nicholas Landry, Crystal Smith of BLUE #1 Boutique-WHB, Steph Napolitian, Dan Decherrio of Jetties Surf Shop-WHB, Erin Brooks, Patrick Shields, Nicole La Montagne, Vincent & Bellina Filligenzi-Bal Harbor, Ryan White, and a late arrival of a very rushed Linda Palermo from the Flirt Party-East Hampton who looked like she had been at SOME Parte`!!!, I mean, WOAH! The night was great music, psychotic outfits, violent drinks, and great company. Women in long gauzy dresses seemed to be the rage this weekend and the elegant look was a definite hit. The Sunday Party at The DUNE location regardless of what the building has been called has always been a high end, very jappy, gorgeous party. Filled to the gills with people who understand that a Sunday on a Holiday Weekend is still time to really get out there, get involved and milk the last of the weekend!

Here we are finally at Monday, it is now actually Memorial Day, and believe it or not the house was up by ten, I beat them for a solitary swim in the pool with a much needed bloody mary. But by 11,everyone was dressed and in the kitchen and 8 of us departed to the Hampton Maid for a decadent breakfast. We sat outside, and breakfast was too die for as usual. After breakfast I took Vincent & Bellina Filigenzi, Gloria Celeste, Ryan White, and Erin Brooks & Patrick Shields of Cold Spring, off to Southampton to see some sights as the Filigenzi-Celeste Party had people in it who had never seen the Hamptons, Yeah, believe it, baby. So we did Gin Lane and all down to the Ocean. The Bathing Corp etc, and then out to Main Street/Jobs Lane Southampton where I warned them window shopping only, as we had afternoon plans and still needed to return to the house to change and dress. Well that went out the window and the ladies went wild shopping here and there at one point sneaking away from us on the way to the car by St. Ambroeus. We were very late getting to the house. But we returned home only to be shanghied into a glass of wine on the verandah with Sean Kehlenbeck of Q Restaurant and Nicole La Montagne who were doing some serious relaxing after their own shopping extravaganza. Then it was off to Dockers for the Sunset Happy Hour and Paul Mahos performing live. Well we arrived to a nice gathering in progress which swelled into a wild Memorial Day Party by 7:30. We sat 8 for Dinner and I merely had a calamari as the margaritas and the dancing were too good to sit down and miss. At Dockers were the following, Denise Bornshein-Hamptons Magazine, Angela Stern-Remsenberg, The Countess Schmidt-WHB, Vincent & Bellina Filigenzi, Gloria Celeste, Nicholas Landry, Ryan White, Nicole La Montagne, Sean Kehlenbeck, Tracy Collins, Paul Wilmot & his Entourage, Darren Gagnon, Elise & Stacy, Melissa Martilito-Frey and her Sister Amy Martilito, Kat Klein, Tom Mc Sherry & Todd Beaurgard-Remax Realty, Johnny Cocktail, and of course Larry Hoffman. Paul Mahos and the Band brought the house down, with 2 encores, there was dancing on the bar like the old days, drinks everywhere, dancing all over the deck, people mingling with cocktails on the lawn and the garden overlooking the water, couples out on the Marina. It was a real night, a perfect unbelievable night, with a huge Moon over the Ocean in The Hamptons, closing out and unbelievable Memorial Day Weekend 2007.

Needless to say I threw the guests out and into their Cars, Jitneys, & Trains, as fast as possible Tuesday morning and collapsed poolside. Literally sent the Guests in one car with a car filled with their luggage in a car following them off into town! I hope there is nothing planned for this coming weekend as I am unprepared for class.....

See you out there!

First of all, I am so excited that Sean has asked me to put my own spin on the fabulous events in the Hamptons!  As an out-and-about member of the social circle out here, I asked that he keep my identity a secret, as I don’t want to cause any fuss over my opinions that I share here.  With that being said, thank God that season is here!  The weather lately has fooled many, including myself, into thinking that it was going to be cold forever. The social scene seems to be underway already, with events popping up in inboxes everywhere!

The Hampton Magazine Party at Room Service in Manhattan was a sight to behold.  With the Amanda Hearst hosting the event and looking phenomenal.  The venue was really fabulous, in and of itself – all decorated in red and dark wood with Private VIP rooms off to one side, revolving crystal chandeliers lit up in red dotted the ceiling, and models posing in retro St Tropez Swimwear complete with umbrellas & copies of Hamptons Magazine Spring Issue.  Fonzworth Bentley mc’d the whole thing with DJ Cassidy spinning some sensational music.  The crowd was wild and eventually broke into dancing after Fonzworth sent out trays of Lemon Drop Shots and led the crowd in a toast to Season 2007!  Of course we saw all the staff from the magazine looking chic.  Tom Kalbacker & the beautiful Rachel were their usual charming selves dazzling the crowd, with Grant and Sal from Hampton Sun Care right there along with them.

And who could forget the Docker’s Waterside Open House?  To start it really said party when you approached the ropes and the red carpet to enter the tented garden with the amazing crew from Hamptonevents.com working the ropes.  The turnout there was unbelievable.  And, can we take a second to talk about how great Larry Hoffman looks these days and so personable?!?  The sunset was as always incredible. After the Cocktail Party, Paul Mahos and his band played late into the night and the dancing never, ever stopped. So many old faces in the crowd, Peggy Malerba, Roxanne Watson, Barbara & Neil Rasmussen, Sharon Goldstein, Rafaela Nikas-Doherty, Todd Beuregard, and that’s all I can remember out of the sea of faces. It was a great way to kick off another season at Docker’s. So many Tuesday nights to come dancing on the deck so little time.

The second of the Hampton Magazine parties for the Hearst Spring Issue was a really quiet, but enjoyable evening out at Wolffer Estate Vineyards in Bridgehampton.  The wine, guests, and atmosphere was really phenomenal.  Drinking a glass of their wonderful Merlot while looking over the vineyard at the gigantic orange harvest moon was really an experience, to say the least. Fabulous engaging photographer, great hors oeuvres from Black Tie Caterers, the ever charming Wolffer Management Team, Chris Kriegel, Roman & Dushy Roth were there, Ann Ciardullo with Sotheby’s Bridgehampton, Jill Kandell with the Real Estate Store Westhampton Beach, Elaine Hammond –Salladino with Prudential Westhampton Beach, Beau & Elizabeth Hulse with Coldwell Banker Southampton, Billy Kreitsek with Suffolk Lighting, Tom Kalbacker with Sotheby’s and his beautiful date Rachel, Sean Kehlenbeck and Chef Frank Tramontano from Q Restaurant- Quogue, with Nicole La Montagne who hands down took female best dressed honors at that event. It was a quiet event for Hamptons Magazine and Wolffer but a lovely evening to get together network and get ready for season. The after party at Bobby Van’s was wild!!!
